Safety Grip Handrail Covers

Aqua Teal Handrail Cover

Safety-Grip is a soft zippered cover that zips over the stainless steel handrails in pools and spas. This innovative patented product will reduce liability and promote safety when getting in and out of the pool or spa.

Safety-Grip prevents burns from "Hot" handrails due to intense heat from harsh UV sunlight in warmer climates and prevents slipping due to "oily" hands from suntan oil & lotions

Safety-Grip also:

  • Assists with gripping for those with arthritis.
  • Prevents children from sliding down rails and causing injuries.
  • Provides a comfortable grip for all ages upon entrance and exit of pool or spa
  • Adds to the decor of the pool and spa area.

Florida & VGB compliant Main Drain Covers

Safety Drain Covers. Each swimming pool or spa drain cover manufactured, distributed, or entered into commerce in the United States shall conform to the American National Standard ASME A112.19.8 – 2007 Suction Fittings for Use in Swimming Pools, Wading Pools, Spas, and Hot Tubs published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Compliance with this Standard will be enforced by the CPSC as a consumer product safety rule.

Public Pool Drain Covers. Each public pool and spa (as defined), both new and existing, shall be equipped with drain covers conforming to the ASME/ANSI A112.19.8 – 2007 Standard described above.

Collector Tanks

What is a Collector Tank?

The collector tank is part of a gravity drainage system. Gravity Drainage is a circulation system where the water flowing from the pool/spa does not connect directly to the pump. The water drains into a tank or basin open to atmosphere from which the pump pulls its water for circulation back to the pool.

Why do I need a Collector Tank?

Collector Tanks are required by Florida State Regulation Law 64E-9 which was passed and went into effect on May 24,2009, and the Florida Department of Health (DOH) is mandated to regulate the operation of all commercial pools in the State of Florida.

Safety Vacuum Release Systems

imageA safety vacuum release system, which ceases operation of the pump, reverses the circulation flow, or otherwise provides a vacuum release at a suction outlet when a blockage is detected, that has been tested by an independent third party and found to conform to ASME/ANSI standard A112.19.17 or ASTM standard F2387.

A SVRS is useful when a swimmer becomes stuck to a drain or suction outlet in a swimming pool, spa, wading pool, or hot tub. The suction from the filtration system can be extremely powerful and can hold the swimmer until either the vacuum is broken, or s/he drowns, despite rescue attempts.

Automatic Pump Shut Off Systems

An automatic pump shut-off system is a device that shuts off the pump/motor in a vacuum or entrapment occurrence.

Use the Emotron PSP20 as a simple, cost effective secondary shut-off device to prevent swimming pool and spa entrapment. Using the existing pump motor as a sensor, the PSP20 will reliably detect a swimmer blocking the suction drain and quickly shut off the pump. The PSP20 accurately monitors motor power to either single or3-phase pumps. Alternative mechanical solutions such as SVRS are labor intensive to install and maintain, and typically require modifications to the plumbing.
